About

This 4 story mansion has a full-time Doorman at the front door, which is set in the middle of three arched openings. Overhead there is a stone balcony with wrought iron railing and three sets of French doors set in another row of arched openings. The limestone facade has pretty carved panels that rise up to a bold cornice, crowned by a mansard roof and three arched dormers.

Designed in 1913 by architect Horace Trumbauer as a Louis XVI Parisian townhouse, the grand Carhart mansion is situated on one of Carnegie Hill’s prettiest streets.
