Located on the south east corner of Lexington across from the hospital, the Chalk House was designed by Paul Resnick and Harry F. Green. A modest sized post-war grey brick doorman building, with an appealing polished gray granite base on the street level, it was built in 1959 and converted to a coop in 1983. 16 floors high, it has 96 apartments, mostly 2 bedrooms, but with a smattering of 1’s and 3’s. Some apartments have bay windows and some have nice-size usable terraces.
