In the heart of Chelsea on the corner of 7th avenue and West 20th street is one of two buildings that make up the Chelsea Warren. Built in 1938 and designed by the renowned architect Horace Ginsbern, the Chelsea Warren perfectly exemplifies the art deco style so popular in prewar buildings throughout New York. Six stories high and made up of approximately 120 apartments, the building is composed mainly of one bedrooms and studios with some combinations boasting two bedrooms.
