About Greenpoint

Greenpoint is Brooklyn's perfect combination of old-world ambiance, converted warehouses, and magnificent waterfront views of Manhattan. A former industrial and maritime neighborhood, Greenpoint has a rich history that is still felt throughout the community. The nabe's nightlife, dining, and music scenes have burgeoned in recent years as energy and activity from Williamsburg creeps north. As a result, Greenpoint’s low-key, tucked-away vibe may not last for long — though less-than-ideal transit access, primarily dependent on the G train, filters out some residents. Despite all the recent change, Greenpoint still hangs onto its heritage and an old-school feel. Buyers can find a mix of newer condos and the neighborhood's characteristic older, multifamily townhouses with vinyl clapboard facades, while renters can expect a similar mix of old and new.
