Jacob E. Miles

A lifelong real estate enthusiast and from a multi-generational family of real estate investors, Jacob E. Miles brings years of professional and personal property experience—as a real estate agent, condominium investor, landlord, and a commercial lease manager—in New York City and its metropolitan area, where he has lived for over 25 years. Skilled in management and finance, Jacob is a relationship builder who is passionate about connecting sellers with buyers and landlords with tenants to create ideal outcomes.

Jacob has represented a wide array of clientele in the sale, purchase, lease, and rental of their homes throughout the NYC area, including lifelong New Yorkers, relocating executives, foreign buyers, and first-time homeowners. His extensive business and real estate experience, skillset, resources, and expertise combine to deliver service and results that consistently exceed client expectations. He has also served as a trusted advisor to over 50 executives who have successfully relocated and settled-in to the NYC area.

Prior to joining Brown Harris Stevens (formerly, Halstead), Jacob was the Director of Finance & Administration at the global IT-services company Enstoa. Prior to this, he spent time as an Executive Director & Business Manager for CIBC’s U.S. investment bank and analyst at Kearney, an operations consultancy.

Jacob earned an MBA (dean’s list distinction) from the Columbia Business School and an MBA from the London Business School, both as part of the EMBA-Global Program(me). Previously, he received a BS (magna cum laude) in International business administration from Babson College.

Conversational in Spanish and Portuguese, Jacob considers himself a global citizen, having lived in, studied, or traveled to some 65 countries and most U.S. states. He is an enthusiastic human rights activist and is involved with various LGBT-equality causes.

Brown Harris Stevens awarded Jacob the "Rising Star Award" in 2015 and the "Most Placed Outbound Introductions Award" in 2017 and 2019. In 2023, RealTrends named Jacob among "America's Best Real Estate Professionals", ranking in the 1.5% in the United States by volume. He is credentialed in the State of New York as a Lic. Assoc.
