Robert E. Doernberg

Robert E. Doernberg is a self-made, real estate powerhouse who has worked with sellers and buyers successfully since 1990. He has represented both sides of a real estate transaction, from quintessential New York townhouses to new developments.

Robert is an expert on complex deals, board packages, and applications. Last year, he was hired by a previous client to sell one of the largest condominium apartments in the Upper East Side, a 5,030-square-foot duplex at the Royale. With a flexible layout and spectacular views, he suggested to the sellers that such a large apartment would sell faster as two separate simplex residences. He led the design, permit approval, and construction that created two 2,515-square-foot homes with perfect layouts and views. He sold them swiftly and the seller achieved a higher price.

With a 30-year career in real estate that combines sales management plus on-the-ground real estate know-how, Robert has a skillset that few possess. A native New Yorker, Robert also lived in Japan, Germany and Belgium. Upon his return to the United States, he attended High School in Utah, followed by the University of Utah. He started his real estate career working on-site for Worldwide Holdings/Zeckendorf Development at World Wide Plaza and Park Avenue Court, followed by several years onsite at 721 Fifth Avenue. In 1994, Robert was recruited to the boutique luxury brokerage Warburg Realty, where he built a career selling condominiums, cooperatives, and townhouses as an associate broker. His success as a broker allowed him to become a sales manager at Warburg, followed by five years in Corcoran management.

The caliber of Robert’s talent is unparalleled, and he has been invited many times to teach his own course, “Building Your Business, the Professional Way.” With his devotion to the real estate field, Robert has helped build and grow the careers of many talented agents and managers in New York.
