Joe Shany

I’m the founder of Shany Landmarks, a boutique real estate firm focused on investment properties, sales, and leasing of co-ops and condominiums.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Business summa cum laude while working full-time in sales and relocation housing starting in 1999. I paid my entire tuition myself—no student loans—through hard work and discipline.

I began my real estate career in 2006 and launched my own firm in 2009 during one of the toughest markets. That challenge shaped my approach. I helped property owners stabilize their assets, secure strong rental income, and strategically sell condo units to reduce financial pressure—all while delivering exactly what I promised, with a conservative and results-driven mindset.

Today, Shany Landmarks works with a diverse and global client base, including UN missions and international law firms. We operate with a small, efficient team and low overhead, which allows us to stay agile and highly effective.

I’m passionate about working with owners who understand that real estate is a long-term asset and a must-have in any portfolio. I’m open-minded, market-aware, and focused on maximizing value in any market—up or down.

I’m also a proud father of three and live on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. Thank you for the opportunity.
