Mark Chins fast rise and well-deserved success in real estate was preceded by his impressive achievements in the world of finance. Mark has been entrusted with fiduciary responsibility for substantial sums of clients money since his late teens, and has effectively negotiated complex multi-million-dollar deals in his 20s. Today he draws on his highly superior and seasoned expertise giving real estate clients a substantial edge when it comes to uncovering value, sourcing off-market deals, and attaining the best property and price they deserve.

A New York City native, Mark attended Columbia College and started his career as the countrys youngest stock broker. He managed a 20-person team by the age of 19, and by age 23 was training director for a floor of 70 in equity sales. That was just the beginning. Mark then earned his MBA in Finance and Statistics from New York University Stern School of Business and traded equity derivatives for Deutsche Bank. He left Wall Street in 2000 to start a dotcom company in Hong Kong, where as president and head of operations he oversaw 200+ people in four countries (Hong Kong, Mainland China, Seoul Korea and Tokyo Japan). He then was head of Mergers and Acquisitions for a multinational IT services company, working primarily in Asia, before returning to New York.

Marks outstanding consultative and client management skills complement the other marked qualifications that make him top-notch in his field, including: a savvy analytical mind; a cutting-edge command of technology; encyclopedic, up-to-the-minute market knowledge, sharp, professional negotiating prowess; insight on construction, architecture and cost estimating; and most importantly, strong relationships with clients, peers and related professionals from attorneys and lenders to contractors, developers and others to ensure a seamless deal.

New York is a very competitive place, and I take my role and reputation very seriously, says Mark, who is not afraid to tell clients to walk away from deals he thinks are too risky or have possible downsides. Id rather take time to find the right property than rush into something that is less than perfect. I understand the structure of the business and see angles which my clients might not have considered. Mark and his wife reside in a townhouse in Brooklyn which he enjoys renovating when time allows. Mark also plays backgammon competitively, collects and shaves with straight razors, buys most of his food at the farmers market (Im food obsessed!), and loves to cook.
