Asher Alcobi

Founder & President – Peter Ashe Realty

Asher Alcobi co-founded Peter Ashe Realty in 1992 and has served as its president and principal ever since. With more than three decades of experience in the New York City real estate market, Asher has earned a reputation for his deep market knowledge, immediate awareness of new opportunities, and a personalized approach to client service.

Known for his calm, soft-spoken manner, Asher listens closely to his clients, understands their goals, and guides them toward smart, informed decisions. His success stems from building trust, delivering results, and creating lasting relationships.

Asher’s specialty is high-end condominiums, with multiple transactions in some of Manhattan’s most prestigious addresses, including 432 Park Avenue, 520 Park Avenue, Beacon Court at 151 East 58th Street, 56 Leonard Street, Four Seasons at 30 Park Place, and the residences at Columbus Circle, among others.

He served for eight years as a naval officer before earning his business degree from the City College of New York. He first came to New York in 1988 for what was meant to be a one-year sabbatical—but meeting his future wife changed those plans.

Before launching his real estate career, Asher owned a home-decoration and property staging business, which sharpened his eye for design and value. In 2001, he became the sole owner of Peter Ashe Realty and has since grown it into a respected boutique brokerage known for high-end sales, rentals, and investment properties.

Asher lives in Manhattan with his wife and two children. Outside of work, he enjoys reading, traveling, volleyball, tennis, squash, and Brazilian music. He is a REBNY Certified New York Residential Specialist and has served three terms on the Real Estate Board of New York’s Board of Directors.
