According to Bettina, the often overlooked, but equally important, corollary to the real estate mantra "location, location, location," is "service, service and more service." This commitment to serving her clients well - combined with uncompromising integrity and loyalty - is the essence of Bettina's approach.. A life-long resident of Carnegie Hill, Bettina has a comprehensive knowledge of - and feel for - Manhattan’s various neighborhoods. Working with both sellers and buyers, she employs both her deep understanding of the nuances of Manhattan's many neighborhoods as well as her knowledge of the marketplace to help her customers find or market their properties. She sells all over the city she loves, from downtown’s Financial District to upper Manhattan’s Washington Heights, Long Island City to Brooklyn. She does, however, maintain a soft spot for the Upper East Side, recognizing that it is not merely a single neighborhood, but a cluster of many mini-neighborhoods, each with their own distinct flavor and appeal. An apartment in Beekman Place will feel different than one in Henderson Place, different from one on Park Avenue in the 80s or Fifth Avenue in the 60s. Bettina brings more than 20 years’ experience and success in real estate to Brown Harris Stevens. She was a regular member of her previous firm’s Multi-Million Dollar Club, ranked among the Top 2% of 60,000+ agents nationwide and was elected by her colleagues to serve on the company’s Advisory Committee. Prior to becoming involved in real estate, Bettina directed the Certificate Program at the New York School of Interior Design and was at Edward Durrell Stone Associates, the architectural firm. Experience with both architecture and interior design allows her to bring a discriminating eye to each property she sees and contacts gained from these two institutions are invaluable and provide extensive design and construction resources. Bettina and her late husband and partner George brought up their son in New York and she can help steer families to the many children’s delights in the city. She is an involved alumna of The Chapin School, sits on the boards of several Episcopal organizations and devotes time to her own parishes of St. James’ and Eglise du St. Esprit. A committed animal lover, for many years she and George accompanied their previous rescue dog, Malcolm, on his trips to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was a weekly visitor to the children’s psychiatric ward and was named the hospital’s Volunteer of the Year. She now has her hands full with Clarence, a Border Collie mix rescue. Her son and his family live in London and she visits as often as she can. Widely respected and trusted by clients and colleagues alike, Bettina has built an impressive roster of repeat and referral clients.
