Bahar Tavakolian

Bahar has appeared on Bloomberg TV and radio, and has been quoted in the New York Times and the International Herald Tribune, among other publications, discussing Manhattan's residential real estate market. Before joining Compass, Ms. Tavakolian was a member of the President's Circle at Stribling & Associates. Being a native of Iran, she is fluent in Persian and French. Bahar holds a doctorate in engineering from Cornell University. She moved to New York in 1997 from Princeton, New Jersey, where she was director at a bio-technology start-up company that went through a successful IPO in 2000. Bahar is currently a member of the Board of Directors of her Condominium. She has also been an active patron of various arts organizations in the city including the Asia Society and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Bahar attributes much of her success today to her former careers, which combined creativity, focus and discipline with a strong entrepreneurial drive.
