I’m Robert Herskovitz, a trustworthy, tenacious real estate professional who will be at your side every step until the home of your dreams is found, and the keys are in your hand. I’ve lived in New York City for most of my life, so I understand how important it is to find your own special niche here. Having resided in Brooklyn and Manhattan, I am intimately familiar with these markets, and have experienced the unique qualities of life both wonderful places have to offer. For more than a decade, I’ve enjoyed living in beautiful Park Slope, a community in which I’m proud to have planted solid roots, built an encyclopedia of knowledge, and made an extensive network of contacts. My passion for selling real estate in Brooklyn and beyond was inspired not just by the talent I long ago discovered I had for matching buyers with the right product. It also comes from a deep and genuine desire to help people achieve their goals and find their heart’s content in a home. Since majoring in theater at Brooklyn and Hunter Colleges, and Hebrew University in Israel, I began naturally gravitating towards sales and sales management jobs over the years. Ultimately, I excelled in a 15-year career as national wholesale sales manager for high-end handmade rugs selling major orders to such upscale retail establishments as ABC Carpet, Bloomingdale’s and others. Clients then and now feel compelled to come back because of the outstanding attention, service and results I continually provide. I’m told my hands-on yet no-pressure approach makes people feel not only comfortable, but confident and well-informed in making the right decisions. Buyers and sellers can also rely on the fact that I’m a skilled and seasoned negotiator who will uphold their best interests and close every deal successfully. While work is a main priority, I also find great gratification in outside activities that involve animal rescue. As an active member of Mighty Mutts, I’m in Union Square in Manhattan every Saturday trying to adopt out new pets to good homes, plus I volunteer time to help fundraise for the group. I also love partaking in all the great places in and around my own neighborhood, like new restaurants and old standbys, the new Union Market gourmet food store, and especially Prospect Park where I’m frequently found walking my own two rescue dogs – Mikey and Shelly.
