About Jason Bauer
Jason Bauer — New York City Real Estate Associate Broker
For over eighteen years, Jason Bauer has helped buyers, sellers, renters, landlords, and real estate investors navigate the New York City market with a combination of extensive market knowledge, personal service, and meticulous attention to detail. A seasoned New York City Associate Real Estate Broker, Jason has worked in virtually every aspect of the real estate business, from representing buyers and renters to managing transactions and overseeing operations as a manager of Weichert's New York City office.
Jason's experience gives him a perspective that extends beyond the typical real estate transaction. He understands the NYC market from the standpoint of both the client and the brokerage, and he is particularly knowledgeable about Manhattan and Brooklyn real estate, including sales, rentals, investment properties, and landlord and building owner representation. He works with clients ranging from first-time renters and buyers to experienced property owners and international investors seeking well-located New York properties with strong rental demand and long-term appreciation potential.
A longtime Manhattan resident, Jason has lived in several of New York City's most distinctive neighborhoods, including the East Village, Union Square, Murray Hill, SoHo, the Upper West Side, and Greenwich Village/West Village. This firsthand experience living throughout Manhattan has given him an unusually broad understanding of the city's neighborhoods, buildings, transportation, restaurants, culture, and constantly evolving real estate market. He has also developed extensive knowledge of Brooklyn, with a particular affinity for deals across Brownstone Brooklyn, including Williamsburg, Park Slope, Carroll Gardens, and Brooklyn Heights.
Jason's international perspective is another important part of his real estate practice. Born and raised in West Hartford, Connecticut, he graduated from Tufts University with degrees in Archaeology and Economics. For over twenty summers, he has worked in Tuscany as Assistant Director of the Poggio Civitate Archaeological Project, an Etruscan archaeological excavation in Murlo, Italy. His years in Italy developed a lasting connection to Italian culture, travel, food, wine, and language, in which he is proficient. That experience has also helped him build relationships with international and European clients who value his understanding of European lifestyles combined with his intimate knowledge of New York City.
Whether helping a client purchase a Manhattan apartment, sell a Brooklyn property, find a New York City rental, identify an investment property, or market a property to qualified tenants and buyers, Jason approaches each assignment with the same philosophy: understand the client's goals, know the market, pay attention to the details, and provide honest, responsive advice throughout the process.
Beyond real estate, Jason remains closely connected to the cultural and academic communities that have shaped his life. He is President of the Murlo Foundation and is active with organizations including Young Friends of FAI, The Whitney Contemporaries, The Etruscan Foundation, the Leslie-Lohman Museum, SAGE, and the Tufts University Alumni Association. Outside of work, he is an enthusiastic traveler, wine collector, restaurant explorer, and home cook.
For clients looking for an experienced New York City real estate broker with deep knowledge of Manhattan and Brooklyn, extensive experience in sales and rentals, an understanding of real estate investment, and an unusually international and cultural perspective, Jason Bauer brings more than a decade of experience and a genuinely local perspective to every transaction
