Nan Shipley

Nan Shipley has been selling New York City real estate since 2006. After an eleven-year partnership with Rand Realty, she founded Shipley Realty Group — a deliberately small firm built on what buyers and sellers actually look for: experience, compatibility and dedication. There is no corporate mandate here. Every client works directly with Nan, who listens first, then navigates and negotiates on their behalf.

She calls herself the city's "house whisperer." For buyers, that means taking the time to find exactly the home they want, not merely the closest one available. For sellers, it means a strategy built to secure the best possible outcome. Her experience spans townhouses as well as co-ops and condominiums, and she keeps a long list of references she is always glad to share.

Before real estate, Nan spent twenty years as an executive in the film industry. The skill set carries over directly: leave no stone unturned and no relationship untapped, and connect the right people with the right property. Those years also made her a seasoned negotiator — she enjoys the hunt as much as the closing.
