Kirsten Syrett

Brooklyn broker Kirsten Syrett brings an adventurous spirit and a wealth of personal experience to every real estate engagement.

With a desire to see the world after college, Kirsten became a NYC-based flight attendant at Delta Air Lines. She took full advantage of the job's travel perks while always maintaining a home in the city. After negotiating a buyout on her rent stabilized apartment in the East Village, she bought a co-op in Brooklyn - a real estate career was born.

In 2002, Kirsten joined a boutique brokerage firm in Boerum Hill where she helped owners find stable tenants for their townhouses. Recognizing the flexibility and income potential these multifamily houses have to offer, she began helping buyers get in on the action. She went on to renovate two of her own; a historic townhouse in Prospect Lefferts Gardens and a three-family in Cobble Hill. Keen to share her knowledge, she excels in providing exceptional customer service while expertly guiding her clients through the buying and selling process. Recruited by Compass in 2017, she is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York and is a Certified Residential Specialist and Negotiation Expert.

Kirsten's family immigrated to the United States from the north of England when she was twelve. They lived in Indiana and Maryland before moving to Georgia when she was sixteen. In the early 90's, she landed in NYC where she met her husband and went on to raise two children. While their favorite family vacations involve hiking and camping, they are looking forward to having plumbing in the home they are building in the Catskills.
