Lauren Kende

Lauren Kende is an associate broker with Compass, a leading residential real estate brokerage firm. As a former practicing attorney and marketing professional, Lauren has a proven history of helping people navigate through complex and challenging situations, experience she brings to bear when working with her real estate clients. Passionate about customer service, she firmly believes that attention to detail, the ability to listen, strong negotiation skills, and a willingness to go above and beyond the expected are keys to her continued success.

Lauren has purchased and sold several properties herself, and thoroughly understands the complicated process of selling, buying, and renovating an apartment in New York City. She served on her Upper West Side cooperative’s board of directors for 8 years, experience that has given her significant insight into the behind-the-scenes nuances that home ownership in the Big Apple can involve. Whether working with sellers or buyers, she offers reasoned and insightful perspectives to guide her clients through the varied scenarios that can arise in a NYC real estate transaction.

When not working, Lauren can often be found playing tennis. A true fan of the game, she is a volunteer coordinator with the local USTA, helping to run its adult leagues in the City. Lauren also is very active with the Riverside Clay Tennis Association as a board member and sponsor of the organization's free summer concert series at 96th Street and the Hudson River.
