Originally from Moscow and fluent in the Russian language, Elena holds a Master’s degree in Real Estate Finance and Investments from New York University, LLM Degree from Case Western Reserve University, and a JD Equivalent Degree from the Moscow State University. In 2004 she started her first real estate brokerage company specialized in commercial real estate in Brooklyn. Elena and her agents sold and rented office, retail and multi-family properties, and forged strong relationships with sellers, buyers, tenants and local developers. She subsequently founded Rakita Realty, which concentrated in Manhattan residential sales. Prior to becoming a real estate broker, Elena developed professionally as mergers and acquisitions attorney with several large international firms for 10 years structuring and navigating through complex international transactions.

Elena is an active supporter of Central Park Conservancy and a volunteer for New York Cares. She enjoys West Coast Swing, Lindy dancing and Bikram Yoga in her spare time, and has called the Hell's Kitchen/Columbus Circle area home for 12 years.

Elena is an active member of the New York State Bar; she holds a MS degree in Real Estate Finance and Investments from New York University (2005), LLM degree from Case Western Reserve University (1995), and JD Equivalent Degree from the Moscow State University.
