Alexis van Der Mije

Alexis Van Der Mije is a hard-working, detail-oriented and resourceful real estate professional who enjoys finding customers a home they'll love for years. Alexis began her career at Brown Harris Stevens, then gained valuable experience at two other prominent brokerage firms, including assisting Manhattan s leading broker from one of the largest brokerage firms in New York City. Since returning "home" to Sotheby's, Alexis has been successful in the business closing sale, rental and purchase transactions all across the city, plus handling new development sales. Extremely reliable, knowledgeable and dedicated, she easily and quickly wins clients trust and loyalty by helping them feel informed throughout the process and confident in their decisions. Originally from Palm Beach, FL, Alexis spent her formative years in and around New York City. She was educated at Westminster School in Simsbury, CT and went on to graduate from Denison University in Granville, Ohio with a B.A. degree in Communications and while at Denison, spent a semester abroad in London at Goldsmith College. Returning to New York after college, Alexis worked in the high-profile art world at Sotheby s and also the Tony Shafrazi Gallery. Her penchant for quality service and articulate communication skills, along with an eye for detail, made her transition to real estate, a long-time passion, a seamless one. A member of the Real Estate Board of New York, she loves the city s rich history, architectural diversity, and wealth of things to do.
