Lupe Moreno Harlem Lady Real Estate My focus when joining the Real Estate Industry in September 2006 was to learn as much as I could about the community of Harlem. I started this quest working with a major brokerage firm with an office in the area, and soon came to understand that the needs of Harlem residents were very specific. By 2007, I had my first opportunity to assist a shareholder in an (HDFC) Housing Development Fund Corporation. My desire to help led me to then become a Certified Property Manager, and to participate in seminars specific to low and middle-income housing offered by the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD). Through this experience, I learned a great deal about the specific set of challenges that are unique to HDFCs. I soon fulfilled the need to create a center of assistance for boards, shareholders and subtenants of HDFC buildings, to support them as they worked to save their low and middle-income units. My involvement in community organizations such as Community Board 10 as well as in local events have further strengthened my passion for Harlem. Working closely with its residents to better understand their housing needs, I am excited to announce the opening of my new Harlem office at 159 West 118th Street on July 1, 2013, and look forward to growing a business which will benefit the community I live in and love. After years of running successful businesses, she followed her passion to sell property in the neighborhood that held her heart, Harlem. Building expertise, trust and relationships, along with her experience as a longtime Harlem resident, property owner/investor and active community member, catapulted Lupe to success with her unrivaled reputation as “The Harlem Lady" of real estate. As proprietor of Harlem Lady Real Estate Services, LLC, Lupe draws upon her years working with investors, sellers and buyers at one of the city's leading residential brokerage firms to best serve the real estate community of Harlem. She specializes in Real Estate Consulting, Property Management, Commercial Leasing, as well as Sales and Rentals, but more importantly, focuses on the person standing right in front of her. Born, raised and educated in Ecuador, Lupe began her career operating her own thriving Manhattan-based fine jewelry business. Prior to real estate, she was general manager of several locations in the corporate world of health and fitness. Lupe holds a New York broker license, Property Management Certification and UHAB University Certificate which gives her a deep understanding of HDFC buildings and Harlem where she has lived for the past 12 years. A member of Community Board 10 for a second term, Lupe is also heavily involved in this and various other local organizations to continually improve the future of Harlem.
