Marie L McIntyre

Born in Washington D.C., grew up in Cincinnati Ohio, and graduated from Michigan State University, moved to Brooklyn in the mid 70’s, and worked her way up to a management position in the Federal government. Wanting a new challenge, she decided to get her real estate license in 1988, after ten years of investing in Brooklyn real estate. The former math and psychology major says, "I have always felt that real estate is a nice combination of personalities, aesthetics, math, and strategy, all rolled into a flexible, part-time, 24 hour/day, 7 day/week schedule." After starting in a brokerage in Fort Greene, with a branch in Park Slope, her first sale was a beautifully detailed Crown Heights brick, sold at asking price, whose owner happily lives there to this day. Client satisfaction is still a prime motivator for Marie. She has been with Brooklyn Properties since 1991, earning a reputation as an experienced, honest, knowledgeable broker, with a sense of humor. She is a good person to ask about the history of the market, where so far, “the only regrets I have heard from customers are about places they didn’t purchase”. Marie is a landlord, an investor and home owner, who has bought, sold, and renovated properties in various neighborhoods in Brooklyn. She is happy to share her knowledge.
