Carey Larsen

Carey is different than any other real estate agent. She is calm, compassionate, attentive, and naturally driven to help others – qualities that are part of her DNA, and stem from her prior career in social work. By closely listening and guiding, Carey knows how to put people at ease during the stressful process of finding a home. She cares much more about her clients and building relationships than she does about just closing a deal. Carey specializes in rentals and sales in Williamsburg and Greenpoint, Brooklyn, with a particular expertise in lofts. After years as a social worker helping those with limited resources navigate the toughest city in the world, she found her calling in real estate in 2011. Her own successful apartment search with aptsandlofts.com led her to get her license and join the firm that is now Citi Habitats. Carey is an active member of REBNY with an insider’s knowledge of Brooklyn, and access to many unique, sought-after properties. She is adept at narrowing down one’s choices to the best on the market at any given time, and making the search specific to each customer’s exact needs. Agent of the Year in 2014 and 2015, as well as being on the President's council year after year. Carey delivers outstanding service and results. Having worked as an independent design consultant for a developer, she has keen interior design and decorating skills that allow her to visualize a space’s potential and offer suggestions based on her client’s style and needs. Originally from Omaha, Nebraska, Carey has lived in the Williamsburg/Greenpoint area for over 17 years, and recently purchased her first home on the Greenpoint waterfront. Carey attended the Master’s program at NYU School of Social Work. She has a passion for all things creative, from interior design to jewelry making, art, fashion, dancing and films. Carey also loves to travel to different beaches around the world to scuba dive.
