Real Estate is not just a career for Ruth Sobie but a life long passion. Ruth grew up in Forest Hills, Queens and moved to Manhattan after graduating from American University. Her degree in Marketing and Business Administration gives her an excellent background for helping others to understand the real estate market. Having bought and sold properties in and out of the city, Ruth knows that service is key to this business.

Though she serves all of Manhattan, Ruth specializes in downtown properties and prides herself on her knowledge of the area and her ability to customize her services to fit her clients’ needs. Ruth is a people person who thrives on interacting with her clients and finding them that special home.

Ruth is a woman of integrity who believes in maintaining an open and honest working relationship with both buyers and sellers. One seller recently wrote, "Ruth moved with great speed and tireless energy. She showed my apartment frequently, but never when it was inconvenient to me, and kept me fully updated and in the loop. Ruth got me a great deal quickly in an unpredictable market- not to mention that she was always a delight to talk to."

Ruth’s more than 15 years of sales experience fuels her Real Estate success and her ability to match potential purchasers with the perfect property. She is knowledgeable in helping clients decide whether a property is right for them. She is especially successful in guiding first time buyers through the process, explaining in detail every step from initial contact to board package to closing. A recent first time buyer wrote to Halstead's Village Director of Sales, "Ruth helped me to put my coop board package together in a very organized, clear fashion. Ruth is clearly driven, focused and good at getting deals closed. You should be glad to have her on your team."

A recent seller praised, "Although we had no shortage of alternatives, including brokers we had worked with in the past, Ruth approached the opportunity with such commitment and follow through that there was no question she would represent us the best. Ruth is an avid collector of photography. She exercises at the gym daily which gives her the energy and stamina demanded by the Real Estate business. She also enjoys reading and keeping abreast of fashion and home furnishing trends. Her son Zachary attended The Little Red School House in the Village. He studied Culinary Arts at Johnson and Wales University.
