Michael Morgenfruh brings more than two decades of real estate experience across residential, commercial, and investment properties to Sotheby's International Realty, where he serves as Director of Operations with Team Maysonet and as a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson.

Known for his thoughtful, detail-driven approach, Michael helps guide transactions with both precision and perspective. He specializes in creating structure behind the scenes so clients and agents alike experience a smooth, well-managed path from listing and marketing launch through contract and closing. His work centers on operational strategy, transaction management, and client delivery — ensuring that every moving part of a deal is handled with care and clarity.

Earlier in his career, Michael served as a city government liaison within the site development group of a leading Manhattan architecture firm, where he worked closely with the Department of Buildings, Department of City Planning, and Landmarks Preservation Commission. That experience gave him a deep understanding of regulatory processes and development pathways, which continues to benefit clients navigating complex properties and approvals today.

Michael's background spans sales, investments, and property management throughout New York, New Jersey, and California, with particular experience in cooperatives, condominiums, and townhomes. He is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York.

A lifelong NYC-area resident, Michael divides his time between Manhattan and the Catskill Mountains of upstate New York, where he stewards an 86-acre former dairy farm dating to the 1840s with his husband, Garth, and their French bulldog, Maxon. His personal interest in architecture, historic properties, and land stewardship informs his client work and reflects his belief that real estate is not just transactional — it is deeply connected to place, history, and lifestyle.
