Seamus (James I.) McCotter was born in Ireland, has lived the better part of a lifetime in Manhattan, and has been selling, renting and managing RE for close to thirty years.

A resident of The Turtle Bay-Sutton area for 45 years ( and sometimes referred to 'The Prince of Turtle Bay' because of his long residency, knowledge of its history, work on behalf of the needy and familiarity with its highrises and real estate--old and new, and its landmark townhouses), he has seen the historic area transformed from a more staid neighborhood to a glamorous showcase of ultra-opulent condos which still retains some of its late-Nineteeth and Twentieth Century character.

SEAMUS HAS REPRESENTED SELLERS AND BUYERS OF APARTMENTS IN A MAJORITY OF THE QUALITY CONDOMINIUMS AND COOPERATIVES IN THE TURTLE BAY/SUTTON AREA

He has a protean knowldege of the complex of interrelated elements that make up the Manhattan housing market---condos, cooperatives, townhouses and lofts.

Previously he worked on Wall Street in the Municipal and Treasury Bond Markets where he sold, underwrote and traded a range of fixed-income securities. His experience on The Street and his in business and finance provide him with the acute analytical and financial expertise to understand cooperative and condominium financial statements, help arrange intricate mortgage financing and to offer clients savvy product and price analysis and concise, meaningful comparisons of similar apartments and houses.

A constant observer ( as well as being a writer) of the Manhattan cosmos --- its characters, eccentricities, conventional and avant-garde elements and its ever-changing sociological makeup--- he is also a student of New York history and folklore.

He is conversant in French and Italian and works in RE with his wife, Ivana, who comes from Genova, Italy. He has an avid interest in theatre, poetry, geopolitics and sports.

He approaches his real estate work with the maxim that 'All clients must be treated with respect, professionalism, dedication and integrity, as though they were close friends or family members'.

To properly serve his clients, he believes the first step is to LISTEN CAREFULLY AND FULLY UNDERSTAND what they need; and he guarantees to make buying or selling a home an enlightening and pleasurable experience.
