Carol Albert

Top Ten Broker/1995 Broadway - Presidents Circle Award Winner - Listings featured on HGTV. Carol was groomed from an early age to be an entrepreneur and expert negotiator. Originally from Philadelphia, Carol was raised in New Jersey, but spent weekends in "Philly" with her grandparents who emigrated from Italy. Carol’s grandfather was a shoemaker and her grandmother a seamstress. As a child she watched both grow their businesses without speaking a word of English. Due to her admiration and respect, Carol joined the fashion industry and honed the skills she would use in the competitive real estate industry in NYC. After graduating from Rowan University with a business degree, she attended FIT and earned a fashion degree. As a buyer, she worked for prestigious retailers -- Barney's New York, Bergdorf Goodman and Macy's Herald Square. On the sales side--she became the #1 salesperson in her office and promoted to showroom manager. During her fashion career, Carol encountered several unique real estate opportunities. As a true entrepreneur, Carol studied architecture and design at NYSID and flipped multi-million dollar properties in Key West, FL, Westport CT & the Hudson Valley. The restorations included farmhouses, historic carriage homes, mid-century modern homes and pre-war apartments. Twenty plus years of sales experience combined with interior design projects are priceless whether buying or selling. The foundation of her business is a work ethic instilled by her grandparents -work hard, be honest and treat everyone with respect. In her spare time, Carol focuses on her other passions--food and wine. She attended cooking classes in Italy and was the First-Place winner of a national cooking contest sponsored by All Clad cookware. Carol is also fortunate enough to work with her husband, and broker, Patrick Hellwig. They reside on the UES and travel to their Fort Lauderdale home to help their Manhattan clients find homes in Florida.
