Deborah Ribner

Deborah is a lifelong New Yorker, whose love of real estate began through the buying and selling of her own apartments. Deborah is creative, visual, motivated, engaging, patient and an out-of-the-box thinker. Deborah’s approach to selling a home is transparent but is also very tactical. She takes a strong position on proper pricing and is diligent about her research of comparable apartments. Her aim is to arm her sellers with enough information to help them understand where they need to price their home and why. She will take her sellers out to see comparable properties to help them understand the market in a very hands on way. Deborah forms unique and personal relationships with her sellers and they all know that she is never afraid to get her hands dirty. It would not be unusual to find Deborah washing windows, reorganizing closets or even refinishing a floor with her very own hands - she will always go that extra mile. There is not anyone better to work with on the staging of your home than Deborah. In fact, she has been known to have the ability to stage an apartment at a tremendous discount. She works with the furntiure rental companies to pick out furniture with simple and clean lines and will supplement it with items from her own collection such as bedding, pillows, lamps, rugs art and other home accessories. When representing a buyer, Deborah’s philosophy is that knowledge is power. She will take her buyers to see as many apartments as necessary so they understand the market so they can make confident and educated offers when the time comes. Deborah has also worked with many first time buyers and will hold their hands through the entire purchase process. Deborah makes it her business to fully understand what a Board is looking for and is a master at Board package preparation. Deborah has sat on her own Co-op Board for over 15 years and has viewed Board packages from a multitude of a perspectives. It is not unusual to see Deborah’s name in the press as she has recently been quoted in various periodicals such as Business Insider, Curbed, WSJ, Realtor.com and Apartment Therapy, to just name a few. Deborah represents buyers and sellers all over the city and has become an expert in the Beekman/Sutton areas. Deborah was named one of the Native Society’s Top 10 Rising Stars in NYC Real Estate, for embodying leadership, creativity, passion, initiative and a desire to make a difference in her professional and personal life. She volunteers for several animal rescue organizations, the Bottomless Closet and is has been involved with American Friends of the Hebrew University for most of her adult life.
