Lisa Simonsen of Douglas Elliman is one of New York's highest ranked elite real estate professionals. She specializes in sales of some of the most prestigious addresses in Manhattan and abroad. Simonsen, who heads her own multi-lingual team at Douglas Elliman, brings a rare set of talents to each deal with her exemplary negotiating skills, great intuition, and her mix of dedication, intelligence, excellent taste and extensive knowledge of architecture and design.

Her unique brand of professionalism has attracted a loyal client roster drawn from New York's elite, plus a collection of discerning national and international investors from as far away as China, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Russia. Lisa and the Simonsen Team regularly appear on Chinese television discussing real estate investment opportunities in the United States. Simonsen's international contacts, along with her reputation for discretion and bespoke service helped her smash New York real estate records in 2011 when she brokered the sale of a 6,000-square-foot Plaza Hotel condominium for $48 million, that was not on the public market, for which she was chosen to represent both sides.

Simonsen demonstrated her talent for selling luxury real estate from the start when her very first sale was a $14 million SoHo loft. Over the ensuing years, she has been selected to list many other impressive addresses, including New York's most expensive Fifth Avenue mansion, and some of the most highly coveted co-operative and condominium apartments in Manhattan. Her dedication and professionalism have brought much success and acclaim within the real estate profession, however she retains the same degree of dedication and enthusiasm that she had when she made her first ever sale. As noted in New York's Avenue magazine, after the Plaza deal, "Simonsen made NYC real estate history and didn't even take a day off!"

Simonsen resides on the Upper East Side of Manhattan with her two children. She is a member of the Board of Directors of Phoenix House, a leading nonprofit provider of addiction treatment services nationwide. She is also a 13-time marathon runner and has a long and active involvement with local charities including the Metropolitan Opera, Hearts of Gold, Inc., and the New York City Center.
