Specializing in brownstone and loft apartments in downtown and midtown Manhattan, Matthew works with all budgets, property types and neighborhoods to find his clients the ideal home for their needs and budget. He is especially sensitive to people moving to NYC for the first time, as well as to dog owners seeking a place to share with their canine companions, as he's a big dog person himself.

Matthew is knowledgeable, patient, empathetic, respectful of his clients' time and wishes, and dedicated to finding them a home without pushing them into something they don't want. Since moving to New York in 2006, he has lived in Washington Heights, Manhattan and Boerum Hill, Brooklyn. Born in Alaska and raised in Southern California, Matthew attended high school and college in Pennsylvania (Penn State and West Chester University with a Bachelor in Music Education), taught in Philadelphia, and earned his Master’s degree in Voice Pedagogy in Princeton; but to this day, only New York feels like home.

A classically trained opera singer and voice teacher, Matthew previously taught middle and high school music, and has worked in hospitality and fine dining establishments in NYC and Philly, including New York's historic 21 Club. He has a love for meeting new people as well as for architecture and history in the city he adores. In spare time, Matthew enjoys traveling the world, savoring good food and drink, going to concerts, theater and opera, as well as watching sports. He also volunteers for such organizations as Rock & Rawhide and SWISH to help make a difference.
