Susan Burris

Susan is an experienced real estate professional and a banker by training who prides herself on her keen attention to the needs of her customers. She is a seasoned negotiator and an outside-the-box thinker who has achieved record prices for her sellers and has structured creative deals for her buyers. As proof, REAL Trends ranked Susan as one of America’s Best Real Estate Agents in New York, and Halstead awarded her their prestigious Strategy Star Award. Prior to becoming an agent, Susan explored several different areas of banking, and discovered her passion for real estate finance. She spent many years lending money to notable real estate developers in New York City, financing the acquisition and development of residential, commercial, and hotel properties. As a testament to her strong analytical skills, hard work, and high level of customer service, Susan rose to the level of senior vice president and team leader. With strong financial skills and an astute understanding that money is fungible, Susan’s experience runs the gamut of real estate transactions. She is well qualified to represent individual buyers or sellers, as well as sponsors and holders of unsold shares. Susan graduated from NYU with a BS in Finance and Marketing. She received an MBA in Finance (fully funded by her employer) while working fulltime. Susan has always taken an active interest in education. She is the Treasurer of the Board of Directors of the NVLD Project, a non-profit supporting awareness of and research into non verbal learning disability. Susan has served as Treasurer of the Board of Trustees of the Stephen Gaynor School, on the Parents Board of Trustees of Bucknell University, and was a founding member of the Steering Committee of the Parents Board of Syracuse University. A native New Yorker, Susan chose to bring up her two daughters on the Upper East Side, where she resides today with her husband, David, and their two dogs. When she is not selling real estate, Susan loves playing tennis, going to museums, making jewelry, and spending time in her homes in the Hamptons and Palm Beach.
