Alan Chorm

Born in Manhattan and raised in Brooklyn. A native New Yorker, he has broad insight on the city's diverse neighborhoods. In his past he often assisted his family with developing their independently owned businesses, which was his first exposure to the commercial real estate sector. As an adult, he embarked on his educational journey and relocated to Washington D.C. It was in the nation's capital that he gained professional experience while interning at a prominent real estate firm while studying Communications, Economics & Law at American University. Alan combines his personal understanding of the market, resources from his team with over 30 years of experience, and the vast resources at Douglas Elliman to educate and guide his clients.

Alan excels at utilizing multiple databases to determine what the market's current inventory has to offer and works to align clients with their ideal investment. His commitment and dedication to constantly being aware of market changes and industry standards are what makes Alan the choice broker for clients who want an agent who understands their needs.

Alan loves cities. Among his experiences was spending a summer in Beijing, Shanghai, a year in Chicago, three years in Washington, D.C., and summers in Los Angeles since age 11. When he isn't traveling, Alan, a current resident of Morningside Heights, can be found enjoying the escape and serenity offered by his neighborhood's accessibility to Central Park. He is most proud of being involved in the PBS documentary, called "Half the Sky," based on a national best sellers book by, Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn.
