We also were involved in irrigation installation and repairs. Lastly, we had a separate carpet cleaning division, called Klean Pro. We serviced over 2000 clients and our largest customer was the Wendy's Restaurant chain servicing their locations from Montauk to NYC. Our responsibilities included handling their outside landscape, sprinkler systems and we subbed out the weekly maintenance to a professional gardener. I sold the company in 1993. Previously, I had taken the real estate course in 1984, thinking of an exit strategy when the time would come to sell my current business. Because I had owned property at the time, it was a "no brainer? for me to enter the real estate business. I gained a good educated and gained valuable knowledge myself working with 2 companies and then worked for a 3rd one for a year decided to purchase the company in 1998. We also have a boat ramp, fishing pier and moorings for boats and sailboat spots on the beach and our fantastic dock with daily and evening scenic views of Long Island sound. . We even have a "free" boat launch to shuttle you out to your boat. Lastly, we have a fish hawk, (called the Osprey)pole nest, that were an endangered species many years ago, but are no longer; but now flourish throughout Long Island. They were constructed many years ago around Long by our previous utility company LIPA (Long Island Power Authority, now PSEG). to save the species. The pole nest is located in the water on the northwest side of our park. We also have unbelievable "free" music concerts on Tuesday eves @ 7:30pm (rain date Thursday eves) in Ielpi Park on Grace Ave the The Village of Great Neck Plaza by the LIRR (no park card necessary!), where you can bring your dinner and have an evening picnic while enjoying the music. Nearby is our Town of North Hempstead's Aquatic Activity Center @ Michael J. Tully Park on 1801 Evergreen Ave New Hyde Park. It encompasses an Olympic sized pool, (daily prices from $6 for Nassau County residents, W/proof of residence up to $14 for a guest and quarterly and yearly memberships from $81-$522 & $166 for seniors) and activities from children's and adult swimming lessons, martial arts classes, aquacise/Zumba, personal training and exercise, yoga, palates adult kick boxing. arts and crafts). Oh yeh, during the winter season check out our huge indoor ice skating rink and indoor tennis; also sleigh riding on our hill @ the corner of Redbrook Rd and Kings Point Rd.
