Benjamin's real estate career is anchored in decades of expertise and a profound connection to New York City. After earning a strong foundation in business and communications at The Ohio State University, he made Greenwich Village his home in the early 1980s, where he built both his life and career. Alongside a loving marriage and raising two grown children who flourished in the vibrant tapestry of New York City, Benjamin’s commitment to the city runs deep.

His journey in real estate took root in 1996 with Barshay Brokerage Real Estate Group, where his leadership was instrumental in converting doorman rental buildings into sought-after condos and co-ops across Manhattan. He pioneered competitive financing solutions for new buyers in these developments, setting industry standards for innovation and excellence.

A respected voice within the industry, Benjamin served as President of a prominent residential Co-op Board for over a decade, demonstrating his commitment to responsible stewardship. His leadership extends to the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY), where he founded and led The Small Firms Committee (SFC) in 2003, advocating for over 500 boutique firms and sole practitioners. He also contributes as an Arbitrator, helping resolve complex disputes with his insightful judgment.

As a NY State Qualified Real Estate Instructor, Benjamin imparts his extensive knowledge of ethics and best practices to the next generation of real estate professionals. Recognized for his expertise, he was elected to the REBNY Residential Board of Directors in 2017, where he continues to serve with distinction.
