Cal's academic pursuits led him to graduate magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in History from The University of California, Santa Barbara, where he also delved into cultural studies during his time in Morelia, Mexico.

His love for the bustling theatre scene ultimately drew him to New York, where he honed his acting skills at the William Esper Studio and immersed himself in speech and Shakespeare under the tutelage of Robert Neff Williams of the Julliard School. Calvin founded a theater company and produced off-Broadway plays, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit and creativity. In his role as Managing Director, Cal was instrumental in bringing creative visions to life, overseeing the intricate process of transforming ideas into tangible reality. His responsibilities ranged from negotiating contracts with designers to identifying suitable spaces for each project.
