Alex started his career in real estate in 1995 upon graduating from Clark University in Massachusetts where he studied English Literature and Theatre Arts. Since then, he has served in diverse capacities in the real estate industry including operating his own agency as principal broker, managing a boutique brokerage in Greenwich Village, and selling countless properties in Manhattan and Brooklyn.

Known for innovative marketing and tenacious commitment to the success of his clients, Alex has achieved record breaking sales throughout his two-decade career. His keen sense of interior design, expert branding & marketing and unsurpassable negotiation skills all contribute to his success. His deep affection for New York City and its real estate is apparent, and his intimate knowledge of the City has won him a loyal local and international clientele.

Alex was born in Seoul and spent his teenage years in Southern California. He speaks fluent Korean. He has passion for travel, especially to undiscovered parts of the world, books, food and tennis. Possessing undisputable entrepreneurial spirit, he has also founded several businesses including his latest brand, Smith & Chang General Goods.
