Brett Michaels

With a background in architecture and hands-on experience running his own construction company, Brett brings a practical, design-informed perspective to New York City real estate. Before entering the industry, he worked in fine dining and trained toward sommelier certification—an experience that sharpened his eye for detail, appreciation for presentation, and commitment to exceptional service. Since pivoting to real estate in 2015, he has closed over $400 million in sales and currently oversees a rental portfolio of more than 530 apartments on behalf of multiple landlords.

That portfolio was built through trust, deep market knowledge, and consistent effort: evaluating thousands of properties, analyzing their long-term potential, and sourcing off-market opportunities through strategic outreach. Brett brings this same approach to every client, whether buyer, seller, landlord, or tenant, combining an investor’s eye for value with a service style that’s personal, responsive, and informed.

Outside of work, Brett is committed to his health and to fully experiencing the city he calls home. He trains for triathlons on the Hudson River Greenway, works out at Equinox, and skis or snowboards out West whenever he can. His sommelier background keeps him on the hunt for great restaurants, and he’s always exploring new neighborhoods between Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens to better understand the ever-evolving city he serves. Currently residing in the West Village, Brett blends hustle with balance and brings that same energy to everything he does.
