Kirsten is a passionate, hardworking REBNY-certified agent specializing in residential sales and rentals in Brooklyn and Manhattan. Along with exceptional service and management skills, Kirsten is known for keeping her cool in high-pressure situations and creating a stress-free experience for her clients. “I’m an easy person to spend a Sunday with, but at the same time I fight hard for what my clients want. I can create a strategy on the fly and take pride in keeping the nitty gritty far from my customers. It’s my job to deal with stress so that my clients can focus on finding the perfect home.”
As a New Yorker who has watched the city grow and change for nearly 20 years, Kirsten believes that NYC offers a home for everyone, from lifelong Brooklynites to brand new transplants. As a Prospect Park South resident working out of Corcoran’s Park Slope office, she has a special fondness for Brooklyn, where she works with a wide range of renters, first-time homeowners, and repeat buyers. She has bought and sold properties throughout the borough, including overseeing renovations, permits, and contractors. She has also served on co-op boards and been closely involved with the board review process. “I love Brooklyn and want others to love it, too!”
Originally from Wilton, Connecticut, Kirsten attended Reed College in Portland, Oregon, and graduated from CUNY Baccalaureate for Unique and Interdisciplinary Studies with a BA in environmental studies and documentary film. Prior to real estate, Kirsten spent 8 years working in commercial and photo production. Her background in design and wardrobe and set styling led to a natural ability to juggle multiple responsibilities and personalities, as well as a keen eye for aesthetics. “I love to help my real estate clients visualize what a space can look like.” Always passionate about art and culture, she also studied painting and sculpture at the New York Studio School, and is the founder of Mare Imbrium, a small textile company that creates hand-dyed clothing and bedding.
Outside of work, you’re likely to find Kirsten checking out the latest concert, screening, or exhibit at BAM, the Joyce, Film Forum, or one of the other cultural gems that make NYC so great. She also loves to explore outside of the city, and has traveled to Europe, India, Brazil, Indonesia, and Ghana. She currently lives in Prospect Park South, where she shares a Victorian house with her husband, son, cat, and the world’s best 45-pound lap dog.
