Her unsurpassed real estate development credentials prior to joining Douglas Elliman included acting as a founder and Senior Director of Marketing of Halstead Property's Development Marketing, as well as executing some of the city's most groundbreaking properties including: 88 Morningside, 2280 FDB, 11 Central Park North, Northside Piers, 110 3rd Avenue, Steel Street Lofts, N8, 80 Metropolitan and over 70 others.

Amala is a native New Yorker who lives on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. She completed her undergraduate studies at Sarah Lawrence College and began her career in television production where she conceived and sold numerous program concepts to Viacom and BET that aired nationally for several seasons.
