Joseph Somerstein

After rising to a top sales producer at his previous firm (2018-2021), Joe joined Brown Harris Stevens in 2022. With over 400 transactions to his name and counting, Joe understands how to achieve success in his profession. Known for his honest and go-getter approach, he takes pride in giving his clients the comfort of knowing he is relentless in his work process. As a skillful negotiator, he also maintains a proactive mindset throughout the entire sales process while thinking outside of the box and known as a deal maker. 

Born in Manhattan and raised in Tenafly, New Jersey Joe has called New York City home since graduating college in 2012. Having lived downtown and uptown, the eastside and westside, Joe has lived and worked all over Manhattan and experienced firsthand what makes this city the best in the world. “New York City real estate is fast paced and ever-changing" he says. "I believe that contributing my extensive knowledge on various neighborhoods and accessing the abundance of resources available to me at Brown Harris Stevens will allow me to forge significant relationships while successfully achieving results for my clients.”

Outside of work, Joe enjoys staying active, playing tennis, and fulfilling his passion for music by frequenting shows and concerts. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Syracuse University and currently resides in the neighborhood he was born the Upper West Side with his wife, daughter and their rescue dog Clarence.
