Matt Bauman

With over 10 years of experience and more than 1,000 deals closed, Matt Bauman opened Bauman Realty in 2016 as NYC’s premiere boutique real estate firm specializing in residential rentals, sales and investment properties. Prior to Bauman Realty, Matt served as the Managing Broker of Next Step Realty, where he focused on agent training and productivity, as well as managing client/landlord relations. Throughout his tenure at Next Step, Matt also ranked as the Top Agent four years in a row. With his vast real estate experiences – from small studio rentals to luxury condo sales – Matt has been sought after to appear on ABC Family, ABC News, Good Morning America, Nightline, Fox Business and CNBC as an expert on new real estate trends. Originally from Long Island, Matt has felt at home in New York City at a young age. He has explored practically every neighborhood in every borough, and knows the city inside and out. Much like his clients, Matt was overwhelmed by the move to New York City; he formed Bauman Realty to help remove the mystery and stress that often accompany the daunting apartment-search process. Prior to real estate, Matt spent some time as a Production Assistant for the Tony Awards. Upon completion of the awards ceremony, Matt transitioned to become a personal assistant to the late, great Joan Rivers. With these experiences, Matt knows what it means to truly dedicate himself to his clients’ needs. Plus, he now has an artillery of not-so-PC zingers courtesy of Miss Rivers. Matt is a magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa 2010 graduate of Brown University with a degree in Theatre Arts. When he’s not touring properties for or with clients, he can usually be found doing backflips in Central Park, seeing a new Broadway show in the Theatre District, or hunting down the best Bloody Mary in the West Village. He has lived all over the city - in StuyTown, Murray Hill, West Village, Midtown West, Hell's Kitchen, Astoria and Williamsburg, but currently (and happily) calls the Upper West Side home.
