He holds the CBR (Certified Buyer Representative) and CNE (Certified Negotiation Expert) certifications from REBNY, the Real Estate Board of New York. He is also licensed as a New York City Tour Guide. “At NYU my favorite course was The History of New York City, because each week the professor would take us to a different neighborhood. I do the same thing with my clients today, be they a $2000 a month renter, or a $ 12 million dollar buyer, its not just how close the nearest subway stop is, the actual neighborhood and building become their new front yard.” Negotiation is Peter’s chief skill. “A real estate decision is like a one-off transaction. You have to actually live with your decision, often for a long time. My job is to enable and protect my client , and to ensure that my buyers get the best possible price, and that my selling clients do not leave money on the table, all the while ensuring that a week, or a month, or a year later, they do not realize something is wrong with their new home, or that in some way they could have gotten a better deal.” “Biking, reading and Bulldogs, not in that order”, is Peter’s answer to what he does for fun and relaxation. “If I’m not doing real estate, I’ll likely be doing something along those lines.” He spent one summer riding his bicycle across the country, and continues to be an avid cyclist in the City; his bookshelves and Kindle are full of fiction, and, of course, books about New York City and Real Estate.
