John Dugan

A native New Yorker, John Dugan is the co-leader of The Skyline Advisory Team alongside Mick DiStasio, where he brings a rare blend of discipline, precision, and creativity to New York City real estate. Since launching his career in 2015, John and his team have guided clients through hundreds of millions in sales and millions more in rental transactions, earning recognition as one of the city’s most trusted and accomplished brokers.

John’s path to real estate is anything but ordinary. Before becoming a top producer, he served as an Infantry Combat Team Leader in the United States Marine Corps, leading missions overseas with unwavering loyalty, grit, and determination. After his military service, John transitioned into Manhattan’s fine-dining scene, where he rose to Chef de Cuisine in Michelin-starred restaurants. Both experiences—leading Marines in high-stakes environments and orchestrating precision in world-class kitchens—sharpened the skills that now define his work in real estate: relentless work ethic, calm under pressure, and an ability to deliver exceptional results under any circumstances.

From early awards as Rookie of the Year to leading a team that closed $40 million in a single year, John has consistently ranked among New York’s top agents. His business today spans the luxury market, representing buyers, sellers, renters, and investors both domestically and abroad. Known for his discretion and trusted, referral-based approach, he has cultivated a global network and a portfolio built on loyalty and results.

After nearly a decade of collaboration, John and Mick launched The Skyline Advisory Team, combining their complementary strengths to offer clients data-driven insights, innovative marketing, and concierge-level service.

Away from work, John lives in Manhattan with his wife, Carmen, their two sons Jaxson and Lennox and their two Dachshunds, Ruby and Rocco.
