Colin Turek

Colin Turek is a veteran New York City real estate broker with over two decades of industry experience. He is a founding member of The Brownstone Boys Real Estate Team, a powerhouse group with over $1B in combined sales.

Colin launched his career in 2004 in the San Francisco Bay Area and remains licensed in both New York and California. He integrates advanced business strategy into his practice, drawing on his MBA from SUNY and a Certificate in Data Analytics from Cornell University. This rare blend of West Coast roots, East Coast precision, and data-driven expertise allows Colin to navigate complex transactions with a high degree of business acumen and market foresight.

Beyond the numbers, Colin is known for his calm diplomacy and tactical negotiation. In a market where high-stakes deals can be volatile, he has a keen ability to bring disparate parties to the table, resolve complex hurdles, and keep a transaction on track. He acts as a dedicated advocate, guiding clients through every technical and emotional complexity to ensure the best possible outcome.

As a co-founder of the real estate arm of the preeminent design duo The Brownstone Boys, Colin leverages extensive renovation experience and deep knowledge of the NYC brownstone and townhouse market to help clients navigate the unique complexities of these historic properties.

In 2018, Colin also launched Empire Staging & Interiors to help sellers maximize their property's potential. Having trained at the Mindful Design School of New York, he is an accredited Feng Shui practitioner, bringing a holistic and intentional perspective exclusively to his real estate projects.

Colin donates 5% of his commissions to nonprofit organizations. He currently sits on the board of Dance Lab New York and is a dedicated supporter of animal rescue, LGBTQ+ causes, and the Australian Theatre Festival, which was co-founded by his husband, Mark Barford.

Colin and Mark live in Brooklyn Heights with their son. While they recently said goodbye to their two senior dogs, Colin and Mark look forward to one day welcoming another rescue into their family.
