Sol Szmulewicz

Experienced working with people from all over the world, Sol is a real estate agent who enjoys problem solving and discovering creative ways to achieve home purchase, commercial deals and goals for his clients. A background in business and finance enhances Sol’s natural tendency to take his clients’ best interests extremely seriously. Clients and customers sense that Sol is a man of integrity and honest dealings, and feel secure in counsel and suggestions he researches for them. Prior to his residential real estate career, Sol worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 30 years, including serving as Schering-Plough’s Vice President of European Operations and as CFO of its $3Billion international division. He has also worked in commercial real estate, making him an agent balanced with both residential and commercial experience. His commercial real estate skills have recently been recognized by Tishman Speyer. Born in Belgium, at age three Sol moved to New York and grew up in Brooklyn and Queens. He earned his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn, now part of N.Y. and a master’s degree in Chemistry and an MBA from Rutgers. He and his wife Laureen, associate broker also at Engel & Volkers, raised their family in New Jersey – as was a few years in Paris – then moved to a condo in West Midtown where they now reside.
