Samuel is inspired by the hustle of New Yorkers, motivated by his compassion for the underserved, and driven by the desire to help people with the most important aspect of their life: finding a place to call home. Samuel views every opportunity with an engineer’s efficient and analytical mindset. He tackles every task with the work ethic and professionalism of a consultant. Having founded startups, he has the resolve to charter through unknowns. Time spent as a bartender engrained an attentiveness towards meeting high expectations with a sense of ease. And in general, an overall willingness to help, operate with integrity, and treat others with dignity we all deserve. Samuel is a graduate of the University of Michigan, where he received both a BS and MS in Industrial & Operations Engineering. Launching his career in the fast-paced, jet-setting world of management consulting, Samuel conducted cost negotiations on behalf of Fortune 500 companies. Trading consulting for the startup world, he ventured out to create a wine accessory business, while helping small companies, ranging from IT firms to fashion labels, with business development. In addition, Samuel forayed into the world of bartending and modeling, establishing himself as the head bartender for a prominent Tribeca restaurant group. He was also featured in campaigns for L’Oreal and Coach. Born and raised in Taiwan, Samuel is a New Yorker by way of Michigan and Massachusetts. Fully aware of what it’s like to acclimate into a new culture and city, he understands the importance of a home when it comes to establishing a sense of belonging. Samuel quickly recognized the need for competent yet empathetic realtors during his personal search for a home prior to his wedding. Realizing that his past experiences had caused him to accumulate and cultivate the skill sets required of the ideal realtor he envisioned, Samuel made the transition to real estate and has since relished the opportunity to bring warmth into a home. Samuel is happily married to an dancer-actor. Together, they are active in New York’s creative scene. Samuel can be seen at his wife’s side, whether for her debut at the Public Theatre or as the managing director of her non-profit arts collective. In his spare time, Samuel enjoys cooking and making cocktails for friends and family in their Bed Stuy brownstone.
