Carl Muehlmann

Carl Muehlmann's strong suit is working with various parties involved in a real estate deal, finding creative solutions that suit his clients' needs, and prompting smooth negotiations to ensure a positive outcome. With his strong background in business and finance plus extensive experience in the public sector, Carl is highly adept in the areas of negotiation and conflict resolution. Yet he is just as much a down-to-earth people person who empathizes with his clients, and provides the nurturing service they need to make the right investment decisions.

Prior to joining Corcoran, Carl worked in downtown Manhattan in the commercial real estate arena. He also served as consultant to various clients including investment bank Goldman Sachs.

Carl enjoys putting all the pieces of a real estate transaction together, from the emotional end of finding that perfect home to managing the financial and legal implications that go along with it. Clients appreciate his astuteness in educating them on the market, and his confidence in navigating the purchase or sale process.

Originally from Boston, Carl is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of George Washington University with a B.S. in Economics. He earned his Master in Public Administration from Harvard University's JFK School of Government with concentrations in Business and Government, and Negotiation and Conflict Resolution. While at Harvard, he also completed an International Tax Program at the Law School, and was a teaching assistant there. During that time, Carl held an internship at the United Nations.

A New York resident for many years, Carl first lived in DUMBO in Brooklyn where he watched it evolve from an artists' community to one of the most sought-after living destinations in the city. Currently residing in the East Village, he boasts experience and a network that span the spectrum of New York business, from local entrepreneurs to Wall Street Executives. In spare time, he is an avid sailor and skier, as well as a jazz enthusiast. Carl has also enjoyed coaching children's soccer, and traveling to numerous countries.
