Elisabeth Slaten brings a rare depth of experience serving New York’s most discerning clients to buying and selling real estate in Manhattan, now as a member of the acclaimed Jonathan Stein Team at Douglas Elliman.

Before entering real estate, Elisabeth spent several years serving some of New York’s most discerning private clients and families, managing complex household logistics and highly sensitive personal and professional needs. The role demanded an exceptional level of discretion, anticipation, and personal attention — qualities that now define Elisabeth’s approach to real estate. From a client’s first conversation through closing, she brings the same level of care, responsiveness, and attention to detail that defined her work in private service.

Elisabeth holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Voice from the University of Georgia and a Master’s degree from the Peabody Institute at Johns Hopkins University. A former professional opera singer, she brings to real estate the same discipline, preparation, precision, and composure that defined her performance career. She also serves on the Junior Board of Good Shepherd Services, a New York City nonprofit dedicated to helping young people and families build stronger futures.

Elisabeth built her foundation in real estate at Brown Harris Stevens on the Louise Phillips Forbes Team, where for nearly two years she played a hands-on role across nearly every transaction. She guided buyers from their first meeting through closing and worked closely with sellers throughout the listing process, from pricing and market analysis to positioning and launch strategy. In 2025, the team closed $97 million in sales. Previously, Elisabeth led leasing at The Brooklyn Tower, one of Downtown Brooklyn’s most prominent developments, where she helped achieve record-breaking rental rates.

Today, Elisabeth works with buyers and sellers throughout Manhattan, combining sharp negotiation instincts, deep knowledge of the city, and an unusually high level of personal service. Whether helping a buyer find a home that truly fits their life or guiding a seller through a complex sale, her approach is thoughtful, strategic, and highly hands-on — with the goal of making every transaction as successful and seamless as possible.
