Wholly focused on client satisfaction and driven by problem-solving and teamwork, Laura found an unparalleled second career opportunity provided by Douglas Elliman.  Laura understands that real estate is deeply personal and that most real estate transactions coincide with life’s transitions and milestones.

Laura has owned property in NYC for 20 years and has firsthand experience with design and construction.  She draws on this expertise, and takes an active role in her listings by helping clients declutter and streamline their interiors, handling repairs and gathering pertinent information to help sell the property in a straightforward, honest manner.

Raised in Alexandria, VA, Laura moved to NYC three decades ago after receiving her B.A. from Emory University in Atlanta, GA.  She worked in business development across several industries.  Laura spent fifteen years raising capital and finding new clients in both the U.S. and international markets:  hedge fund seed capital for Stonebrook Structured Products, LLC (2003-2006), fixed income and derivatives brokerage clients at Fimat U.S.A., Inc. (2001-2003), pension fund conferences with Institutional Investor (1998-2001), digital printing for Chroma Copy (1995-1998), and telecommunications at LDDS/Worldcom (1993-1995).

In 2007, Laura became the full-time primary caregiver for her two children.  During that time, she designed and managed the combination and eventual redivision of two adjacent condo units in downtown Manhattan, giving her practical experience with purchasing directly from a sponsor, as well as in-home construction and overseeing multiple vendors and contractors.  Laura also served on her condo Board for eight years.

In her spare time, Laura fundraises and administers the Perry Moore Hero Fund at the Hetrick-Martin Institute (HMI) on Astor Place, awarding college scholarships to HMI’s top candidates.  She can also be found at her favorite hot power yoga classes in Chelsea and accompanying her 5-year old Havanese all over her City Hall neighborhood.  In her free time, Laura loves to cook and entertain.

Living in NYC throughout the Covid-19 pandemic drew Laura to pursue real estate, which would allow her to be a productive participant in the city’s inevitable and extraordinary post-Covid rebound.  She understands the need to problem-solve and nurture clients through the delicate process of selling or finding their “ultimate” of homes.
