She was recognized for her wide-ranging industry expertise, which spans onsite and offsite sales and rentals, closing and negotiation, short-term rentals, asset and property management, and multimillion-dollar rent rolls evaluation. On top of these is her business acuity in developing and executing ideas and innovative processes to improve overall performance, optimize operational efficiency, and guarantee customer satisfaction.

In a career spanning over two decades, Melaine has demonstrated her service-oriented commitment by providing effectual support to Fortune 500 companies in planning their employees’ relocation into temporary and permanent housing. Melaine was acknowledged for selling more than 100 condominiums, including 25 sales with several exclusives at Empire State Properties. Capitalizing on her industry expertise, Melaine played an instrumental role in attaining 45 percent closing rate for agents in leading on-site sales and leasing staff for the sales and rentals of apartments and condominiums.

In her role as Leasing Director at Lefrak Organization–Gateway Plaza Management for over 10 years; Melaine strategically managed the on-site leasing and administrative staff for a 1712-unit complex. In addition, she leased more than 2,000 apartments at Gateway Plaza, the largest rental building in Battery Park City and the Financial District. This experience has added further testimony to her strength as a leader who drives growth. As evidence, Melaine was recognized for optimizing business efficiency by achieving a positive rent growth of 50 percent, as well a $25 increase in price per square feet in eight years. Additionally, she played an instrumental role in boosting company revenue by maintaining less than 2 percent vacancy for the 1712-unit complex in eight years and 1% vacancy in 2015. Furthermore, she was recognized for acquiring 45 percent referral rate for all rented apartments by rendering first-rate service to new prospects and current residents.

In 2016, Melaine embarked on a new business venture utilizing her over 20 years in the real estate industry to start her own real estate company, LL Real Estate Services. LL Real Estate Services is a full service real estate company, committed to providing exceptional service in all facets of the NY real estate market. In her role as the Principal Broker, Melaine also uses her expertise in providing consulting services to developers and Landlords in reducing vacancy loss and incorporate tenant retention strategies.
