Anoo Mukherjee

Anoo Mukherjee developed an interest in real estate early, inspired by family conversations around the dinner table about architecture and design. Over the years, that curiosity evolved into a deep appreciation for how thoughtful spaces are created and experienced.

Anoo fell in love with New York City during her time as a graduate student at New York University, where she earned her M.A. and Ph.D. in Musicology. Upon graduation, Anoo accepted a faculty position at Washington & Jefferson College, just outside Pittsburgh, PA. During her nine years in academia, she became a tenured professor, was elected chair of the Music Department, and taught courses on classical music, opera, modernism, music theory, and ethnomusicology. She also published articles on twentieth-century American composers, her specialty, and presented her scholarship at conferences nationwide.

Anoo found her work in higher education to be deeply fulfilling but she always missed the energy of New York City. Now back in Manhattan, Anoo has begun a new chapter as a real estate agent with the Teplitzky Dunayer Team. Clients value her work ethic, thoroughness, and empathetic manner – skills honed over years of guiding students and collaborating with colleagues.

When she is not working out of the Madison Avenue office or meeting with clients around town, Anoo can be found performing as a violinist with various orchestral and chamber groups. As an opera buff, she also makes it a point to attend performances at the Metropolitan Opera every season. You might even catch her giving pro bono lectures on music topics spanning antiquity to the contemporary era, or leading tours of Lincoln Center and Billionaires’ Row – blending a love of the arts with her knowledge of real estate.

Anoo is passionate about the city’s vibrant cultural life, and she enjoys sharing her enthusiasm for museum exhibitions, the performing arts, and local architecture with anyone looking to make this magical place their home.
