Peter J. Thompson Jr.’s passion for real estate began at an early age. Growing up, his father was both a real estate broker and a landlord who owned 11 two-family homes. Watching the day-to-day realities of property ownership, tenant relationships, and investment strategy fascinated Peter and gave him an early understanding of how real estate can build long-term wealth and stability.

That early exposure eventually led Peter to pursue his own career in real estate. After becoming licensed, he began working at the brokerage where his father had originally built his career, learning the fundamentals of the business. He later transitioned to a smaller boutique firm in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, where he further developed his client-focused approach and deepened his knowledge of New York’s diverse property market.

Today, Peter is proud to be part of Compass, one of the top-producing real estate firms in the country, working out of their Fifth Avenue office in Manhattan. Peter serves clients throughout New York, from the Hamptons to Manhattan and across the boroughs in between. His approach is simple: provide honest guidance, strong market knowledge, and dedicated service to help his clients achieve their real estate goals.
